Macro Practice (2025.03.17)
In my ART 1050 photography course, I changed the focus of my final project from a shallow depth of field theme to macro instead.

This set shows the reason I switched to macro to begin with.
These beautiful spider eggs caught my attention.
Then, I spent a lot of time capturing a few hundred photos, trying to get clear shots for the project.

The leaf on the left beautifully captures the sunlight, but there’s not enough of it in focus to justify letting it feature one of the eight slots in my final project.
I love the velvety look of the seed pod to the right, but it didn’t fit with the rest of the theme.

I like how these twigs turned out.
I couldn’t place them in the context of the final eight.

It brings me such joy to see how the tiny filaments capture the sunlight.
Also, the new growth heralds spring!
